Terms of Use

Last updated: October 23, 2026

The terms for using Aida: the licence, what is free, how the yearly plan and lifetime work, what happens when a plan ends, and liability.

Who are these terms with?

These terms are between you and Phu Nguyen, the developer of Aida (“I”).

Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) also applies. These terms add to it for Aida. By using the app, you accept both.

How may I use the app?

  • Use Aida on Apple devices you own or control, for your own stitching.
  • Only import charts you bought or are allowed to use. Charts belong to their designers.
  • Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

What is free?

Importing PDFs, checking how they read, viewing charts and keeping them is free, with no time limit.

You can also mark one chart for free: the first one you mark. Deleting that chart doesn't free the slot for another one.

Marking any other chart needs the yearly plan, its free month, or lifetime.

How does the yearly plan work?

Apple sells the plan through the App Store and charges your Apple Account. The price is shown before you buy.

  • The plan renews automatically every year. Your account is charged within 24 hours before each year ends.
  • To stop renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the year ends: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Aida.
  • If you're eligible, the first month is free. Apple decides eligibility, usually once per Apple Account.
  • Cancel during the free month and you pay nothing. Aida reminds you two days before it ends, if you allow notifications.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How does lifetime work?

Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It unlocks marking on every chart, never renews and has nothing to cancel.

It comes back on a new device when you restore purchases with the same Apple Account.

What happens when my plan ends?

Only marking stops. Nothing is hidden or deleted.

  • Your charts, PDFs and every marked stitch stay on your devices and in your iCloud.
  • You can still import, view, back up and restore charts.
  • Your free chart can still be marked.
  • Subscribe again or buy lifetime, and marking comes back where you left off.

Who owns my charts and progress?

Your progress is yours. Charts stay the property of their designers. I don't get a copy of either.

You're responsible for keeping a backup, through iCloud or a backup file. I can't restore data from a lost or broken device.

Can Aida misread a chart?

Yes. Aida reads charts automatically and can misread a symbol, a color or how pages join.

Before you start, compare each color's count with the key. Aida shows both side by side and lists mismatches first.

What is your liability?

Aida is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect damage, lost data or stitches based on a misread chart.

Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Which law applies, and what if these terms change?

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Consumer protection rules in your country still apply where they give you more rights.

When the terms change, I update this page and the date at the top. Questions: ferro.cg.co@gmail.com.
